Our history

LUMICOM is a WayPoint brand, dynamic, innovative and attentive to design research in the field of light with over 50 years of experience. Our philosophy is to offer a high quality product at a competitive price compared to the market standard made 100% in Italy.

It was 1963 when Bruno Baesso started manufacturing classic wrought-iron chandeliers in the portico of his house. For Alberto, son of Bruno, his father’s laboratory was a playground and a gym: starting from an early age he learned how to think and create like a proper craftsman, one of the richest and most prolific Italian heritage. In 2000, toghether with his son Philippe, they founded Way Point, looking to adapt the needs of large distributors to a philosophy driven by product and desig process that follows the footprints of ancient workshops. At Way Point’s workshop everyone knows how to do everything. Or almost everything. Each production and each machine can be entrusted to each one of our craftsmen workers, because we don’t have one person that only specializes in a single task. No longer is the machine that makes the man, who is tied to its rhythms and needs, but is the man who makes the machine.
